Latest revision as of 01:04, 20 October 2021

The Wiki Pi Game is a video game set in the World of Wiki Pi. The main character is controlled by the player, which they can name, dress, and edit their profile. Mr Abenyakya is the deutagonist and loyal supporter.

Setting[]

The character starts at a large chessboard with the White Queen Chess Piece standing in front of it. The Queen tells the player to follow the path that lands to the sea. As the player goes toward the sea, Abenyakya's scroll appears. Abenyakya soon walks toward the player, and tells them to follow a path: the rocky path, the driftwood path, or the concrete path. Each path goes to a different place; the rocky path goes to Munsterton, the driftwood path to the Oe Islands, and the concrete path to Misty Mountain Iron Mine, (though the player has to catch a boat there.)

Gameplay[]

The player[]

The player will receive choices when playing throughout the game. They earn rewards if they can complete activities, finish quests, compete in sports, or discover areas. They have the choice of rewards, (Knowledge Orbs, Experience, Gold, Ochre, Iron, Moonstone, Pearls, and Diamonds), and rewards can be used as currency.

In-game purchases and rewards[]

Purchases[]

The game offers a purchase of gold, moonstone, iron, or diamonds which can be used to buy in-app purchases including clothes, hairstyles, and accessories for the character. The coins also need to be used to complete a certain part of the game including 100 coins to build a relationship with another character or learning to do an activity.

Rewards[]

The game rewards can be chosen and purchased which can be used to buy in-game objects including potions, powder, food, paint, and more. Currency can be found on benches, in trees, underwater, hiding in berry bushes, in chests, in a vault, as buried treasure, stored in an attic, or on the ground. Iron, Gold, Moonstone, and Diamonds can be found in a Mine, in an attic, stored in a vault, in chests, as buried treasure, or underwater. Ochre can be found on the ground, underwater, or as buried treasure. Experience can be found in trees, in an attic, underwater, or in bushes. Pearls are found as buried treasure, underwater, in an attic, or in a chest. Finally, Knowledge Orbs are found on benches, underwater, in an attic, in trees, or stored in a vault.

Friendship and Romance[]

Friendship[]

All characters in Wiki Pi episodes are in the game and can be made friends by helping them, competing against them, or visiting them. Tapping the character icons of friends on the bottom right of the screen, shows friendship levels. After a certain level, the reward for levelling up friendship is energy. The higher the next friendship level, the higher the energy reward (+5, +10, +15, etc.) until reaching max friendship level. Reaching the maximum friendship level (10) gives a special reward.

Romance[]

Romance in the game is hinted in details of the main storyline as well as several achievement quests. In the quests, the player is given a chance to escort one of their character's friends to a school event as a date. All potential dates are available to player characters of either gender. In the romance system, the player character goes on a date with a chosen character during which they participate in mini games relating to that person, (eg. picking flowers for their date with a sorting mini game.) Successful completion of the games and the correct answers to their date's questions will increase both that character's friendship meter and the new romance meter.

Once the romance meter is full, it will increase the romance level with that character, unlocking new locations, and games, for their dates.

Pets[]

Players have the option to get pets. Players can purchase various types of pets, as listed below. After purchasing the base skin, the player can purchase additional skins for pets for coins, diamonds, or pearls. More magical pets have been added since, along with two Hallowe'en pets, which were originally event-exclusive but are now available for pearls.

Trivia[]

  • On the Leaderboard, the majority of the names of other students and their appearance are randomised for that player, and the only names which will be the same for everyone will be for NPCs such as Rick Wosslo or Mary Viantt.
  • Interestingly, the name "Ben" is not banned, meaning that the player and their cousin can share the same name.
  • In the village, some shop names are shortened.
  • The kitchens in the Hotel were previously shown as a location unlocked after the Reception but now it is unlocked after the Lounge.
